I am new to the site. I was at my local fall boat show last night and they had a 2011 Axis a22 Vandall, thought some of you would like to see it. I would love to have one of these boats for myself!

looks really good. what speed control do these things use?

RM, the Axis uses a paddle wheel speed control. It is the same paddle wheel as Malibu's. I havent heard anything about them changing the method of speed control, so I believe it is still the same.

Very nice. Any word on the motor he is going to be running. The Vandall edition MUST have a beefed up power plant. :-)

Looks like engine options are a ar335 wich is a gm based 5.7 or the upgrade is a raptor 400, wich it didnt give much specs on?

6.3L is the raptor 400. It is what we have in our Axis.

They should spend less on the wheels and trailer and more on the finish, cos if its worse than Malibus your in for a rude surprise after 12 months.

These boats seem to be holding up really well imo. I have numerous friends who bought them and they are very happy.
