I've seen this a few times and I'm trying to figure out how he got the nose to go down so quickly? usually when you spin like this it just spins it doesn't dive like it does in this video? any ideas? I wonder if he had a bunch of weight in the bow?

He spins it into some big rollers, I think.

Its called throwing it into reverse and goosing it while going 30mph. Very fun way to grenade a transmission.

STUPID PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BREED!

in all 3 of the different wakeboats i have owned (1 mercruiser, 1 indmar, and 1 pcm powered), each one would kill the engine if they were thrown in reversed while going forward in order to keep from grenading the tranny/v drive...

i think it is called coming off throttle hard while moving into rollers...

Reference the other thread, he is moving backward as the boat emerges. Though you are right about the cutoff which puzzles me.

It looks like he is moving backwards simply because thats how he popped back out of the water

It is always possible that he modified the boat to allow this to happen.

Here is a new post on youtube from the guy about what happened:

This wasn't done on perpose at all!!! How this happened?? I believe that when I was coming into shore that I hit some rollers left over from the twinrig and when I pulled off the throttle the nose hit those rollers and sucked the front end down.

Some people think that I may have pulled the throttle back past netural into reverse adding to the nose dive. Still not 100% sure how it happened, I just know that I don't want to do that again!! LOL...
