Has anyone ever put a 15" subwoofer in a boat. I think its a little too biggg, I have a competition 1200 Watt 15" Orion HCCA $500.00 sub from my car days that I would like to possibly get put in a new smaller box for the new boat, but Im thinking its overkill

Would you just trade/sell it for something alittle for feasable/smaller? The reason I asked is because I dont want to rattle everything off the hinges. Also if I did go with it does MC's warranty still abide (i.e. are things really tightly put together)

How is it? Is it overkill? Does it rattle everything? Has things became loose from doing so? Whats the wattage? Thanks

i only running 600 watts to it...
i have it toned down a bit -- i'm also running a Alpine HU and have the sub on like 8 of 15... not overpowering at all...

Thats what im thinking ill just have to under power it. When I was in competitions before this sub would push 145db's, making the windshield wipers bounce up and down on the winshield. Afterwards I realized alot of ratteling occured in that car lol.
