Does anyone know about the water level on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky? I used to go there w/ my family every year for the past 7-8 years but the past couple years I haven't been able to make it back there since I'm finishing college. I was just wondering if anyone knew how my favorite lake was doing.

I talked to a friend of mine last week and he told me the lake is going to be low for at least 2 more years.

Lake is fine..plenty of water. Some of the long coves that used to be there are gone, but there are still plenty of places to find butter. We were there last weekend and found a spot on friday and rode for about 3 hrs before we even saw another boat..it was awesome. I think everyone thinks the lake is to small shallow or something because it doesn't seem as busy as it used to be. (Good Thing)

Yeah, we know some people who went last year and they couldn't event get to 76 falls or this other smaller one people jump off of more often that we call 38 falls. But yeah, a lake that is commonly over 200+ feet deep can't dry up b/c of some crack in a dam.

P.S. Anyone know about that State Dock across from Jamestown. We used to stay in Lure Lodge and dock at the State Dock.

state dock and jamestown are fine and have PLENTY of water beneath them. State Dock is the best marina on the lake in my opinion.

by the way the dam is not cracked, the limestone beneath it is eroding.
