I have a 2000 bayliner 175. I have a tower and with some weight in the locker and in the bow its not too bad. Controling the speed sucks and it takes about three days to get out of the hole with all the weight but its what i have and im proud of it. i have the big 3.0 also.

You may want to get a lower pitch prop so it will come on plane faster with the extra wake.

Tj,

I have a 2000 1850 with the 190 and i have loaded it up with over 1200# of fatsack and 5 people and it did just fine, just have to prop it right, 4 blade 18 pitch is what I use! loose a lot of top end, but not important when wakeboarding!

I have monster tower and perfect pass. I can sell it for less then you will pay for a basic bayliner. drop me a line if interested!

Well, i have the 3.0 and im 6'6" and 200lbs and it pulls me up, and if you tell your rider to get on the water faster and not drag it helps alot also.

175 Happy so far. Kids love it, but if I lived where you do I would get A boat more cold weather friendly. Heater, shower, etc.

TJ,
Why in the hell are you going to buy a Bayliner.

How much $$ do you have.
There are 1 million other boats better than a bayliner.

Well when it's all you can afford you gotta do what you gotta do.At least i'll be out on the lake enjoying what I love. Thats the most important thing.

This is what it is all about no matter what you run on ....

This was taken on our first run on the new boat.
It didn't seem to matter what we were on..We had a blast .
Although if I had the means a calabria or mastercraft sure wouldn't hurt my feelings...

I have a 04 185 4.3L. And I love it. My family and friends enjoy it too. It's my first boat. I was thinking about a v-drive at the time but I didn't want to drop $30K+ for one. I figure I get use too boating first then sell this one and get a v-drive if I get any better at wakeboarding and my boat can't perform for me anymore. So far I'm loving it.

The only problem I've had so far is the engine has been diesling a lot. I have taken back several times to the dealer to fix. I think they finally nailed it. It hasn't dieseled on our last three runs (knock on wood). Other than this it's been flawless!

juan,

do you know what they did to get it to stop deiseling? I fought with mine all last year and the only thing that seemed to help was running premium, and that was too expensive and still is, so I usually try to let it idle for a bit before I shut it off!

Premium gas fixed that problem for me.
