Will Getting a tower or pylon help me get more air so i can start doing inverts?

yes. Simply having a higher pull point will give you more pop, height, and glide time. However, you won't need it to start learning your first inverts. For now, concentrate on your approach and pop off the wake. Once you have that down, start to increase your edge and carry more speed into the wake. The energy you can put into the wake, the higher you go. A tower will help but don't let it limit your riding in the interim.
