How to tune. after audio install?

Messed with it for an hour on the lake and couldnt get it to where i was happy with it.Set up is:
Kenwood HU.. very basic trebel,bass,and fader
5 Band EQ
Kicker 300.4 running 6 polk db651
Kicker 450.2 running 2 Wetsound Pro 80's

I have never heard tower speakers before so i have no clue what my wetsounds are suspose to sound like. If you stand on the swim platform it just seems like there is so much treble to them. Maybe thats how they are suspose to be so the rider can hear them. So do i tune the wetsounds by standing 100 ft back. I really lost here and have no clue where to start turning this whole setup
