seems to me if its a private spot, they can do that. But if its public i dont think they can say you can ski but not wakeboard... I would look into it more... it has the city ordinace... Messed up if you ask me

There are a few spots in Atlanta on public lakes that are marked ar "No Ski" areas. It amuses me becuase, you can drive up and down these parts with full weight, and have other large cruisers come through.....however, you throw a skier back there it's illegal.

I woulod say fill you boat up and drive around said lake. Nothing is more fun than pissing of a bass fisher.

Do you think maybe someone that lives there just made that sign and put it up? I know it wouldn't be hard for me to make a sign just like that.If not, I don't see how they could let people ski or tube and not let them board.

if you read the post you'll see it actually is a city ordinance and 2 blokes even tried to argue against it at a town hall meeting (as reps of the general public).

I would say test it: Go ahead pull that board on and take a set. If the cops come and ask what you are doing, tell them you are water skiing. The only difference between a wakeboard and a trick ski is that the bindings are set differently. I would be almost certain that there is no legal differentiation in defintion between waterskiing and wakeboarding. The city may even have to either rescend the ordinance, or ban waterskiing also. I'm sure that would go over well with the waterskiers. Barefoot, hydrofoil, tube, wakesurf, test it everyway possible.

Sack that mother up with 2000 - 3000 pounds and throw out the tube. Nothing like 20 mph rollers everywhere. Get three or four of your best buds and have a tube-a-thon.
