we got a 2006 malibu ride xti last year with wedge and center ballast. i want to spend a fair bit of time surfing it this summer. anyone have one of these boats or know a good way to weight it for surfing? i'm regular but i'd like to be able to set it up for goofy as well. i should mention that i have never actually wakesurfed ropeless before

Hey Steve

Recalled you placed this post a few weeks back but didn't get a chance to try and surf behind a friends XTI until last weekend.

Good news is that the wake was fine for surfing. Here's the set up we had.

Wedge - Down
Centre Ballast - Full
Driver + 8 people on Starboard side. Most people as far back as we could get them.
Board - Phase 5 Oogle
Rider - 200pds.

I always thought Malibu's had left hand rotating props but for us the starboard wake was better. (Hence I'm assuming it was right hand rotation - couldn't check because boat was in the water)

Hope this helps.....
