my family owns a wakesetter 23 lsv. I was wondering how the surf wake is?

It's great. Some tips: Don't underweight the front. Always use the wedge. Typical setup: All ballast full except the opposite side rear ballast. Wedge down. 300 pounds of lead front center. (just aft of the step up to the open bow) A whole bunch of people on the surf side. The starboard (goofy) side surfs better than the port side, but it is possible to get a very good surf wake on the port side.

I was on a heavily weighted LSV with the wedge down; the wake was pretty bad. I suggest trying with wedge up, I only rode the LSV on one day so my experience is limited. I ran a VXL for several days with the wedge up and had very good wakes on both sides.

I notice that when I wakesurf without the wedge the wake seems to lose a lot its push behind it. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know I had such a good experience with the VXL, I couldn't believe how bad a sister model performed. I'd love to spend a day with a LSV and my 2,500 pounds of ballast. If anyone in Ohio with an LSV wants to experiment with their surf wake or show off their surf wake feel free to hit me up.

we would throw a all the ballast full except the rear opposite. 500 in the bow, 500 in the rear locker, 500 on the side seat and a 250 on the floor. wedge down, and it was big and very smooth
