Tom, I was going to buy a Blue but I inherited, so to speak, a Yellow. For just cruising and riding the Yellow has a very similar feel to the Blue. However the yellow is shorter and should be easier to pull a 3 on. I've done a 3 on the yellow but I didn't stay in the pocket. By my estimation the Blue has a much larger sweet spot than the Broadcast. One thing I try to do with boards is see how fast I can ride a given board model. I’ve free ridden several boards almost up to 15 mph. I can ride the Blue several mph faster than the 5.6 Broadcast (I forget my numbers for this summer), for me that confirms that the sweet spot should be larger for the Blue. The Yellow is about as fast as the Blue. I think there's much more potential with a Blue or Yellow than a Broadcast. If you want something different try a skim board like the 4-Skim (when they are released) or several other skim board offerings Jeff you want to add a little on skim boards? This year I rode a Zap skim board, and a Victoria skim board both were very good rides. I should be getting a 4-Skim this coming season; I can't wait to give it a good work out. As far as the 40 crowed goes, I'm 47 and most of my regular crew are within a few years, it’s wake surfing have fun and if you push it do you really think that you could hurt yourself? Hmmm.... I put over 2,000 pounds of ballast in a much smaller boat.
