First time with new sub on the water...

I'm running a hifonics 1600 mono still not cranking it all the way up they said to put some hours on it to break it in first!

Are you running it at 1 ohm? In other words did you get the 4 or 2 ohm dual voice coil sub?

I just finished my box and wrapping my trim panel in vinyl tom. for my 15 L7. What did you end up tuning at? I went to 35 hz.

I didn't tune it my buddy did and he hasn't finished tuning it yet he wants me to break the sub in completly before he dials everything in. I'll ask him when he does so i can let you know.

tuned my 12" l5 to 33. It pounds. I would have done a ported 15 in my last two boats. But just require to much air space.

No John didn't get it in a group buy from Japan. lol I bought it refurbished for $200 and it has a 1 year factory warrantty from kicker and its a L7 so it has the nice heavy duty basket not that stamped steel junk.

It's probably pretty obvious but I'm a cheap miser and everything I do I do on the cheap. I think when Grant coined the "Baller on a Budget" he was talking about cheap bastards like me. lol

Who said you have to spend a grip to have a cool boat? Sub, amp, and box I have less then $500 I made the box, fiberglassed it and had my buddy flame it out, the amp is refurbished from ebay, and sub is refurbished.
