Is too much weight possible in a x-45?

I have a 45 that I set up for surfing. I am looking to put the max amount I can and slam it. I have ~600 in lead, a fat sac, a fat couch, and the stock ballast. If I put it all on the left side it would be ~2750lbs. Think this might be a little too much. Should I put the two sacs in the back and the lead in the bow? Never tried this much weight. Don't really like using the lead. Pain in the ass to get in and out.

no that isnt to much i have a bout 2450 not including people in my X-2.

i've spent a considerable amount of time behind a x-45 and it a really unique boat. it takes a lot of weight and all tanks - about 4000 - 4500 lbs.

there is no way 2750 lbs is too much in an x45. I am just starting to get things dialed in my 45 after adding another 750lb sac. I am now running one 750 in the port locker, one 750lb sac on the back corner of the port seat, three 400lb sacs - one in front of the 750, one along the floor, one along the bow port side, a 175lb "fat buddy" on the floor and the port hard tank full. That is over 3000lbs and I feel like I could use a lot more weight, especially when there are only a few of us in the boat.

put 220lbs of the lead on the swim platform,wichever side your riden.the rest of it in the back corner,watch it stand up a foot taller than normal..the x45 can easily handle 4000lbs and under,no prob.

hey h20 dog - how are you attaching 220lbs of lead to the swim step ?

that is a great idea to dip the swim step.

pop products in an old school fat sac cover.tied to the transom.werks everytime.at first moving the weight back n forth from the truck was a hassle,now i wont ride without it.

Are you meaning the swim step or actual transom?

im not as computer savy as the rest of you guys.i can post some pics when my girl comes back from north lake.till then though,the weight sits on the swim platform inside the old fatsac cover,then just for security reasons i buckle it(old fatsac cover) then dock line it to the fixed handle flush mounted to the transom.i'll post some pics soon.just remember this set up is for like 3 or 4 peeps in the boat..when ya have alotta people, take the swimplatform weight down to like half.you will know if this is needed when the boat seems like it cant get up to speed.

Hey Will do you fill the center hardtank , and with your set up is the wake High but short pocket .Do you have any pictures .I am new to the 45 we were out yesterday and had alot of fun!!
