Here is what I need. I need a setup (board & bindings) that I can use for other people that go boarding with me. The board needs to be applicable for intermediate riders who know what they are doing, but also good enough that I can teach someone how to get up on it for the first time. Its needs to be a good board for girls to ride as well as for guys (all weights and sizes). The boards I have narrowed it down to are the Hyperlite Fluid, Temet 138.1, and the TFD 136. I am leaning more toward the Temet 138.1 ...although it is purple. For bindings I need the same type of thing. I have looked at the ERA's, SPLITS, and Parks. I have no idea what to do about bindings. Any help? What do you guys use?

i think all of those are good boards for what u are looking for (although i would stay away from purple). i have 03 splits on my 03 belmont & it is pretty much a community board. they are quick to adjust & just about anyone can wear them. my personnal board is a 03 ultracore balance w/ ultra sucs, & it is just for me.

i would go with the fluid if your intention is to have only a comunity board, if the board can become your personal, then go with the temet or the TFD, wich are more style defined.
maybe you can have the temet and two pair of bindings, one for all, and one only for you.

Just to throw this out there, Liquid Force has a killer packege out for `04. A new 04 Trip with Alpha bindings for $399.95. The alphas are front lace so the larges can fit a pretty good size range and the Trip is just an all around great board.

isn't the temet somewhat of a directional having a front and rear to the board? i don't think that would make for a good community board for people that will be riding both regular and goofy.

I would go with the fluid 137 and some cwb torq bindings. Im not really a fan of cwb, but my friend has them, and they fit a big range of sizes and they worked out really well for me.
