I'll be there all ten days...no surprise there but I don't get to run around and check out all of the cool stuff, I have to work . It will be Disneyland compared to the fishing expo I worked at the Cow Palace the last five days though!

I'm probably going to scope out a 05' Super Air. Anybody have opinions on buying before or during the show? The boat I get will probably be a special order since nobody has the color combo I want.
Old    jmo52            01-18-2005, 11:19 PM Reply
I wouldnt say dont buy one, But I dont know if I buy into the " you can get a rippin deal at a boat show" I think it's kind of hit and miss.

Paul get the 226 instead....
Old     (magellan)      Join Date: Feb 2003       01-19-2005, 7:03 AM Reply
Paul, buy a used Super Air from 2000. Same exact boat, much much cheaper.
Old     (gherk)      Join Date: Aug 2001       01-19-2005, 9:31 AM Reply
I already have a 02' Super Air. The point is to upgrade. Not that a 2000 is a downgrade, but I just prefer new. I really have no legitimate reason to buy a new one other than I want something new.

I'm sure of it. I hear Trevor Hansen will be working the CWB booth the second weekend. Last year the HL booth had Harf and Murray. Tino Santori was there. I'm sure there were many I didn't see.

Kung Fu Wake: Why would you want Paul to get a 226? It seems like an ocean liner...don't get me wrong, to each his own, but the 226?
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       01-20-2005, 4:37 PM Reply
Ocean liner? It's 1 foot longer than a Super Air isn't it? I'd hate to see what you call my 23' Wakesetter. haha

Jesse: If you ever get the chance, go drive and ride behind a 226. Then you will understand why Kung Fu says what he does. I believe my '01 SAN has one of the biggest baddest wakes there is, and I'm still hoping to upgrade to the 226 this year.

haha, right on Zack. Yeah, I was wearing a red and black Fox jersey and was the only one with a mohawk (that I noticed at least). I was looking at the wakeskates, hoping to find the Byerly more specifically- no luck for me, they were out :-( I was also sad about not being able to see the Cassette Bi-Level.

Shaun did have a lot of people around him, it was cool to see some pros. Today we also saw Cobe, which was particularly fun since my first real wakeboard (after the Wake Tech skurfboard) was his Full Tilt pro-model, he got a kick hearing about that :-)

hope everyone else had fun and got whatever they needed to get
Old     (airwarrior04)      Join Date: Aug 2004       01-29-2005, 9:57 PM Reply
Kevin,
Was there a byerly that you wanted i can talk to my boss and see if he could get one! ill talk to him and tell you if you want me to are you goin to be there tomorrow?
Old     (scott_a)      Join Date: Dec 2002       01-29-2005, 10:12 PM Reply
kevin- there are still byerly boards left. if there arent someone can order one for you. they only put a certain number of boards on display at a time, so if it sells out they have to re-stock it. i know for sure there was a byerly board out on display at around 5:00 or 6:00pm. i think you had come and gone by then though (i saw the mohawk/fox jersey).

walt- nice pics. did you try out that pro flight handle-pass-board-spinny-thingy? the one on the left was pretty wrecked by the end of the day...ball bearings were everywhere.
Old    walt            01-30-2005, 8:47 AM Reply
Scott, No I didn't try it but I liked the concept. To bad it got wrecked !

Walt, thanks for the nice pic of the Sanger, You even got me in the photo in the upper left corner. Unfourtunately the customer I was talking with was not buying it was great to see all the people attending. I thought that one of the trick highlights of the show was the Sanger V230 in the Pro Flight booth. Steve's boat has the ultimate in Bling. Laser show plus fog machine and everything chromed. anyone else going next weekend come by and say hi at the Sanger booth. Ask for Gary.

did anybody see the Lightning Accessories booth? Their new 05 tower speakers are really nice.
Old    scubastevebps            01-31-2005, 5:23 PM Reply
I'm headed down there tomorrow from reno. Well after hearing stories of nvs tower speakers i might be bad and pick up a pair! Are there any deals for the entity 1010 at the show? You might all see a liquid trends box going up for sale.

The show was absolutely dead on Tuesday...

Glad to see Nelson slavin away in the BP area. The man is a walking history book, we should all be proud to meet and associate with him. Great rider, great fan, great friend.

Also check Hyperlites giant rice cooker I love it.

Mastercraft - spinning vertical display... overkill??

Nautique - clean and simple

Malibu - slightly dull display area

Sanger - old school stage look

Calabria, MB, supreme, Tige - who cares....

*These are only opinions from an industry vet. DO NOT assume that I know anything... hahahaaa

I worked the CWB booth all weekend with CM and Trevor Hansen. It was a great time, but I don't see how some of the exhibitors work the entire show.

Also in the area were Brian Grubb, Mike Schwenne, Kyle Murphy, Garrett Morris, Josh Storrer, and Greg Nelson.

Thanks but watching me ride isn't anything to write home about.
