Travis - also check out Quicktime 7 Pro for Windows or for the Mac OS to convert your videos.

QT7 can also be used as an alternative to Windows Movie Maker to edit your videos. It comes with a simple interface to edit videos, create photo slide shows, plays videos in FULL screen, etc.. Just another option....

I just got a video iPod yesterday, and already have loaded in both Anchorman and Van Wilder. I downloaded HandBrake for OSX to rip it, then used QT Pro 7 to convert it to a m4v file. Works great!

Does anyones 60 gig iPod, while playing a movie, ever pause for about 3 seconds, then play without audio?

To get the audio back, I needed to fast forward or reverse a second.
