So I just upgraded my XMD-1 to a CMD4. Very nice unit and got a pretty good deal on Ebay. Really like the rotary knobs, way easier to adjust the bass and treble.

As an aside, I have a Nyko Stereo link connector on the way that uses the line signal the ipod produces at it's docking base. The Connector plugs into the Ipod dock and has a 6ft chord with RCA's at the other end. I have read that the signal is much better from this end and uses less battery than the headphones jack connection.

Anyone have any experience with this connector?? The CMD4 has an adjustment for the AUX input too, anyone suggest a setting??

I am hoping to get some decent sound out of the Ipod.
