J-Rod, how are those Fuse for wide feet. Those look like a large and mine are at least EEE.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       01-17-2007, 8:43 AM Reply
Randy, Not sure about that, buddy. Have you tried on any other CWB boots? I would think with a wide foot, that a Hinge binding would be better for you. The Fuses have less give. They are stiff and a little harder to get into until they break in. I love stiff boots though.
Old     (dudeman)      Join Date: Mar 2005       01-17-2007, 9:23 AM Reply
J-Rod, bought my son a pair of Factions size large, but his foot is an 11. I'm 9 1/2 EEE. His felt a little tight in the toes, but they are new and not broken in. We don't have any place to demo here. I love stiff also. Just can't find any to fit my feet. Thanks for the input. BTW, how is that new Transcend compared to the '05? I ride the '05 and it is slick. Definitely not helping my progressive.

The new Trasncend does everything better. The fin extensions let you fine tune without completely changing how the board rides. It's fast, pops better, lands better.

Try weighting your back foot more when you set the edge. If you set up for a trick with the 05 evenly weighted, it wants to break loose.

Or if you're willing to spend the dough, I highly recommend the 07.

11 should put him into an XL. OR you can stretch the boot by shoving a bottle into the toe section and leaving it over night. This should help the width problem also.

That's also how I discovered this site so I guess the stickers work.

Kaesen,

Yeah the Natural is sick. I have been riding it since the summer of 05 and every person I put on it just loves it. And now the bindings are just awesome, they are so comfortable.

Cliff,

Post those pics ASAP. Maybe we can change this thread from a CWB love fest to an O'Brien one!!!

I still don't understand all these people with their bindings not all the way out. I mean it's pretty much standard for most riders to have the bindings all the way out.

yeah well I am used to riding a 134 all the way out, so when I went to the transcend 138, It felt a little too wide, so I moved it in one on each side...... Besides, the wider your stance, the more strain your putting on your knees

David Shu - Is that a Connelly Switchstance?! That was my second board I ever owned after my Connelly directional Blade. We used to call the Switchstance the "Face Plant Board" because it barely had any rocker and every one of my friends who rode it would...you know.

foxy - being born in 1985 does NOT make me an "80's girl" ... but if you thought it was a good movie when it first came out, then i'll watch it. p.s. if you become something other than a fox rep, i won't be able to call you foxy anymore. and what if you become a DC rep? sound out DC. i don't wanna call you THAT!

thanks jjakober. what are those "channels" in the middle of the tip and tail supposed to do?
Old     (stephan)      Join Date: Nov 2002       01-21-2007, 11:49 AM Reply
Its a modified phaser. They call them chevrons I believe. Basically it loosens the board up by interrupting the water flow, i'm not really sure why they do it or how well hey work but thats what they are. Probably makes the board emphasize using the rails edging or something.

(Message edited by Stephan on January 21, 2007)
Old     (jjakober)      Join Date: Apr 2002       01-21-2007, 11:59 AM Reply
The "chevrons" help create turbulence in the water under the tail to allow it to go faster. Kinda like the dimples on a golf ball help it go farther. It may sound like a gimmick, but it has totally changed my board preference from continuous rocker to 3 stage rocker because it helps make an inherently slow design of board(3 stage rocker)ride much faster like a continuous rocker board. I don't have to work as hard to generate speed, but I still get the explosive pop of a 3 stage board.

There must be something to it because I know the military is doing something like this with there submarines to allow them to go faster more efficiently!!

I am glad it snowed a bunch yesterday and I got to go play in the powder, other wise this much talking about wakeboarding would drive me crazy!

did you use something special for the LF/Ronix combo?

i have heard the boots and boards of Ronix with other brands cannot be use together.

There isn't any special plate or anything...I've heard that before too....The screws were just a little long so i put a washer on there and they are great.
