Had my first wakesurfing set this weekend. It was awesome. I bought a new Inland Surfer Red Woody and finally got a chance to use it. We found a quick start like you are pulling a wakeboarder was the easiest way to get up. I am still trying to dial the speed in but got some slack in the rope a couple times. Ran my first 5 sets without ballast to get used to the board, then ballasted the left rear of the boat with 520 lbs (400 water, 120 lbs in kids).
I found 11-12 mph shaped the wake the best. It's nice being close enough to the boat to tell them if I want it faster or slower.

Congrats Jeff! You'll be addicted soon. If you are up in the Bellevue area at the end of the month, come check out the Northwest Wakesurfing Association's competition. There will be great riders from all around. Here's a link

That looks awesome. My son has a soccer tournament that weekend so getting up there may be tricky but I will try.
