I am about to order two optima yellow top batteries for my boat. I am not sure which one to order though. There are 5 different kinds...D34, D34/78, D6V, D31T, and D31A.

Anyone who knows what all that means, can you please help me out and just let me know which ones are better for a boat with a few accessories?
If it matters, 2 sets of tower speakers, 2 subs, 3 amps and 4 speakers inside the boat, and a light bar.

I used two blue tops and never had a problem with them

When I spoke with Optima they recommended that we use Blue top (part # BlueD34) for our applications.

suppost to be more toward a marine/RV type with slower dicharge, worked out very well for me.

i thought the yellow tops were ok too. do you know why they recommend the blue tops? are they more expensive? here is a site you can go to to understand the differences in all of these yellow tops, but from looking at it, i dont know enough to figure out which one to buy.

if anyone has anything negative to say about the yellow tops, will you please let me know.

I bought an M900 and M1000. One is a cranking battery and the other is deep cycle. Both are Marine batteries with both terminal types.

I purchased them through www.optimabatterystore.com.

You can order online or call. They are knowledgeable and ship promptly with confirmation and tracking numbers. Check them out or give them a call...
