A few months ago there was a discussion here about Wakeboard magazine. (I think they’ve picked up their game a little by the way.) But after reading Marty Head’s photo essay on Radar Lake I realized that WakeWorld is by far the best journalism happening in Wakeboarding. The writing is solid. The photography is great and they are definitely plugged in to the industry. Marty’s essay isn’t the first great read I’ve seen on WW. Just the most recent. When that is combined with the rich multimedia content from users, it’s unbeatable in my opinion.

Thanks WakeWorld

Love the wakeboard report! I strictly buy the wakeboarding magazines so I can have a hard copy of something to read. Wakeworld gets info so much faster, why wait 3 months to find something out that happened 2 months before the magazine went to print?

I do really appreciate writing style. I have been pleasantly surprised at the writing style of Aaron Reed,Danny Hampson and the also in the new Standerd mag. Great interview of Byerly and another with Benny G. I love to see articles by Jeff Barton as well. Although I do have a soft spot in my heart for Danny and Aaron, I was so impressed and happy that they can articulate themselves in the written word.

Huh?

The Wakeboard Report?

Who reads that crap!?

Seriously, thanks for the nod. I appreciate it. My visits are way up lately actually and I have spoken to Wakeboarding Magazine about some level of contribution but I've yet to fully chase it down yet. For now I very happily, and as often as I can, contribute information and analysis of products and the industry in general. It is really picking up lately. This has been a very exciting past year in the sport and in the industry as it applies to boats and rider progression - so the material has been there. It doesn't write itself though - so I am happy to do it. It is a fun site to operate.

I liked Danny Hampton's article in Wakeboard Mag, rider cam shots. If I want groundbreaking journalism, I'll subscribe to Time. :-)
