CTI Brace Costs

Just got my custom CTI Prosport. Very happy with the quality. I was considering buying it myself if the insurance didn't cover it, and then I saw the invoice to my insurance...$1806.81. OMG! I expected it to be about half that at most. Thank God I have great insurance. I value my knees, but I don't think I'd have been willing to pony up that much for a brace I'll probably only be using for a year at most.

why would you use the brace for only a year??

Once fully rehabbed, I don't think I'll be needing the brace. I know that it is peace of mind for some, but braces don't exactly prevent injury IMHO.

josh you couldn't be more right. i was wearing a cti2 prosport on my right leg this past summer and blew my ACL.... that same knee never had an injury before then. i was wearing it for preventative reasons.

ultimately, nothing will prevent you from knee injuries in this sport. its a question of when, not if. ::sighs::
