I've ridden there a few times, this time of year it's busy! I would go early to ride and then head to the falls.

I was at lake keowee last summer and my gf is headed there next week with her family. Its a great lake, beautiful water. Very clean, great temperatures. The further north on the lake you get the clearer the water gets. For wakeboarding try and find one of the many fingers that the lake has to offer. Get out there early or late. Dont bother wakeboarding on the weekend. You might die, no joke. We came around a corner and a 26 foot donzi was ripping around that corner doing about 40 and missed us by 20 feet. Scariest moment on a boat for me

I ride on Keowee about 4 times a week! and its got its goods and bads... as mentioned before it can get a lil busy... but earlier till like 1... then take a few beers back to the waterfall near fall creek... and then head back out like 4 and you can find a few good coves... i guess since im a local i know where all the really good wakeboarding coves are at.... its a really nice lake tho. you should like it!
