Anyone else rode the CWB Transcend?

I know there has been a little discussion on this before, but I was wondering if there are some more people now that can give a review on the new Transcend. Can you compare it to the Absolute and Prodigy? Also, does it feel like it rides bigger or smaller than what the size says? I am having trouble deciding between the 138 and 142. Thanks.

Yeah, I saw that post. I just wanted to see if there are some more opinions now. I've heard some people say it's fast, some say it's slow.

I would take the absolute over the transcend anyday. It's slow, j-rod has some good advice on it, he demo's a lot of boards.

J-Rod,

Did you feel that you should have been riding the 138 or did the 142 seem ok. How is the swing weight? Did it spin ok? I am 6', 170 lbs. and am trying to decide between the two. Thanks.

On the Transcend I was taking my spins bigger than ever before...like surprising myself! The swing weight didn't make any difference at all, not even on flips, and the board I normally ride is a considerably lighter.

I would go for the 142 if I were you. Since the board is a little slower, some extra board in the water should speed things up a little for you. I think it will help balance your height also. I'm 175lbs and the 142 was perfect for me.

The other forum has some good advice. I agree wholeheartedly with J-Rod's assessment. I've been on the Absolute for 6 months now & really love that board. The Transcend was quite slow but the pop was almost surprising. Your cruising around slower than normal then you get a edge get a bit of a speed burst & then all of a sudden you are floating huge. I felt landings were even smoother than the Absolute as the spine is longer & deeper(the new Absolute is like this as well). Good luck, CWB to the house!
