What do you think? Dennis had an idea to try a quad with these smaller C5 boxes and fins on a Comp X. I've always wanted to know what foam the Walzer is using, so - this would give me two answers. I have an older Walzer with some nose damage...would make a good donor board.

I'm doubtful that I'll place the trailers with that toe-in...but I thought it would be interesting to see if the quad offers more drive and yet would still allow the board to be ridden revert.

Worth a try?

Is that similar to what Inland is doing. Does it work. Surfboard shapers have been doing this Quad fin set up for years. I bet it is really tight behind a boat??

with that set up,ya might as well have two fins with ten inches of base.when tryn to three it,its gunna feel like yer hittin a brick wall.i have a board with 5 boxes in it just to try new set ups and fin combos.the true twinzer placed quads(overlapped)are the funnest i think.revert is a no deal with that many fins no matter where ya place em.thats why inland did what they did,i can almost guarantee it.

James can spin 3's pretty effortlessly on any board and fin set up...but he's not like us mortals. :-) This is an experiment we did with a bullet and James was able to rotate that pretty easily. I think those are 438's and a 3.75" trailer.

The revert is an issue...on the Walzer, those rail fins grab with the board revert. Maybe relocating the entire fin cluster inboard a bit?

I can ride my Walzer revert.. for me it is easier with the two fins than just one (my Walzer is unique in that i have the two fin boxes in addition to hole for a center rainbow fin). The fin seems to keep it turned into the wake more.
