Looking for as much input as I can get. I'm looking for what everyone else is; big wake, lots of room, solid on the water. I have around $45,000 give or take and will be picking it up early spring. I'm at 8000' ft so not sure if altitude will be a factor with engine performance. all opinions are encouraged. thx

Check with Sidewayz Pro WaterSports in Fort Collins, 866-896-9687 . You can get set up with a new 2006 Supra Launch 21V set up nicely for under $45k. Ask them about the high altitude wakeboard prop for your boat. Tell them Jon at the Central Arkansas Supra dealer said hi.

At altitude conside the MC X-1 Base price of
$39995 (Boat motor trailer, 2 ballast and ZeroFlex Tower) at 45K you could upgrade to the 350 HP Multiport MCX motor with MC Speed control, bimini top, cover, basic board racks and a stereo. Consider the 3rd ballast. you should be awful close in price. Awesome package.

Buddy has 03 vlx, red, charcoal, white, black titan 2, black tandem, lots of extra's.Exceptional condition with only 100 hours. Only reason he's selling is chronic knee problems. Wants around 40k. Definitely best bang for buck.

If it were me. No question. I'd be getting a brand new Sanger. Loaded V215.

I'm curious, Why do you have to re-prop at higher altitutes? Has it something to do with the thinner air and engine preformance?

Thx for all the input. so i get the feeling of going new is best, rather than an older more expensive model of something? I like the idea TJK has, so I can add extras. opinions on when I should order this by to get it early spring. I'm sure dealers will fill me in, but looking for actual boat owner input. thx to all

Sanger V210 loaded, then add a $10k sound system. MC X-1 or Supra 21V would be my next choices in that price range.

I was told when I ordered my X-2 that MC has a deal that if people order there boats early they get a better discount. If you want a better price go check it out ASAP. I saved around $7K. Mine will be arriving in a couple months!! Too bad it will be -20 outside! Haha

I would go with a brand new Sanger V215, or a Supra 21V. For that money, those two boats would be my #1, and #2 choice.

Shayne- There aren't any Sanger dealers in our area. You would have to travel to get to a dealer and that can be a pain, especially if you have a problem or warranty work.

I personally would go with the Supra 21V! If I were looking at a boat today, it would be the 21V. There are two Supra dealers here in Colorado. Sideways in Ft. Collins (referenced by Jon Allen earlier) and Rocky Mtn. Boat Company in Pueblo. Talk to Bill at Rocky Mtn. He knows Skiers Choice boats better than anyone. He's incredibly knowledgeable. Sideways may be able to offer a better deal though. Check them both out. As anyone on here will tell you, the dealer is a very important factor when choosing a boat.

Skiers Choice offers some great deals at the boat show. That's the time to buy a SC boat. In the mean time check out both dealers, talk to them, research the boat and get ready for the show in January. Jan. 19th-22nd in Denver. One suggestion would be upgrading to the 340hp. MPI engine at that altitude. Also, the heater!!

Beyond the Supra 21V, the MC X-1 is still getting rave reviews. However, it's a small boat for about the same money as the 21V. The 21V is a few thousand more, but most likely comes with more standard items. I could be wrong though. I don't know if a Moomba is on your list or not, but they have some nice boats for less money. I own a Moomba XLV and absolutely LOVE IT!!

Also, we've never been able to get together and ride! The summer is over, but we're going till Thanksgiving. You're welcome to come down and ride till then. We'll be hittin it again this weekend at Chatfield.

New Supra 21V or Sanger V215 would be my pick in that price range.

Consider this, bigger isn't always better! Are you planning on parking your boat in your garage? I am looking at purchasing a new boat but one of my requirements is that it has to fit under my 83 inch garage door. The X-1 fits no problem, I think it is only 76 inches tall, but judging from standing next to the 21V at last years boat show, there is no way I can fit it in. Hey boat owners out there, how tall are your boats on the trailer with the tower down???

i want to say my 21V was close to 7' (84"). Just off the top of my head.... tough for most garages.... I could be wrong, but I think that is about right...

I have the boat you want:
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/251422.html?1128360677

No need to by something of lesser quality just to get into a boat for a dollar amount. Nothing against all the other boat suggestions on this post but this boat is a beast. Biggest and best wake I have ridden, period. Best performing boat as well. You buy now and I will store it for the winter for you.

I second Jon Sidilau on type of boat. If I were looking in that price range, a one or two year old 210 or 211 would be my top choice. I rode the 211 stock ballast on Monday and it killed my Tige 22V wake, plus the ski wake is very very good for a V-drive (just as good as my buddies direct drive Calibria). I usually ride my Tige 22V with 500 pound of ballast in the bow with TAPS set at 6. Needless to say, I will probably sell my 2004 Tige 22V and get a 211. Only drawback is the loss of storage space....hard to beat Tige in that area.

THX for all the feed back. I've decided to go with the 2006 X-1. I'll post the pics w/ all the extra's I'm adding. Should have it in March but it probably won't see water till late May.

I'm with you Shane, probably will be ordering an X-1 for next summer also. Only now I have the option of an 05 X-2 that was used as a demo boat...

How would you compare Sanger V215 vs. Malibu vride? How much can you expect to pay for vride?
