Well, I got a hell of a deal from my local boardshop on the '06 Substance 138 and couldn't pass it up. I'm definately a begineer to the sport, limited to basically w2w jumps, and some surface stuff. Anyways, I got to go out on it today for the first time. I'd previously rode an LF Evolution 138, so I have the Element bindings on the Substance. It was definately a change from my Evo. I was kind of happy, it made me work harder for what I wanted it to do. I didn't really accomplish much, as far as w2w went, but it felt good. Solid, strong and fast edging. I know it's the same rocker as the previous two years, but I'd never rode a Sub at all. I really think I can do alot more with this board, over my Evo. Also, I rode it finless, which I'm not used to. My Evo has some huge fins (I want to say 1.5"), and since I didn't even put the fins on the Substance, it felt alot different. Do you all think I should keep the fins off to progress further as a rider, or learn with the fins in then eventually take them out?

btw, if you haven't seen the '06 graphics, they're sick.

Thanks guys
