A few months back I bought a Canon Rebel XSi DSLR to start playing around with and learning about photography. One of the other things I would like is to try to start shooting some action shots from a tube, anyone have a good suggestion on a fairly inexpensive waterproof housing or enclosure.

The EWA bag is about as cheap as it's going to get. They are around 400.00 if I remember right.

Thanks Walt. Just read some reviews and most people seem to like it. Not trying to be cheap, but anyone have any input on this guy?

www.waterhousings.com

I paid $900 for mine. The extra $500 is worth not having to deal with the bag

Inexpensive and water don't mix.. Sure you can get a $100 splash cover, but what if you fall off the tube and the bag rips open.. then what's you're Rebel w/ lens worth.

Think of a good water housing as insurance with a one time premium.

Another alternative (though pricier) is http://www.norcalsurfers.com/word/features/spl-waterhousings/

I second www.waterhousings.com, jim built a waterhousing for my Nikon D90 and is building one for my sony ex1. He has over 40 years experience in make custom housings. Even though they are custom, his prices are half what you would pay for a manufactured one. Send him an email and let him give you a quote.
