I was wanting some advice on a 79 Mastercraft 19' powered by a 351 ford. Has anyone used this or a similar one for wakeboarding? How is the wake if you add some weight? How much weight? I am an intermediate level rider looking to get my own boat for a cheap price and this is about the only inboard I can afford right now. I usually ride behind my friends 01 tige 21v. Thanks for the help.

I just sold one. I had about 1500 pounds in it. I had a former regional pro that would ride with us occasionally. he could do most of his stuff off of it. The wake is just not big at all. The boat is too narrow and not deep enough. strong boat though

The 79 has wooden stringers. If that is your budget MC did away with the wood in 83 so I would look for something around that year.
