I am looking for an easy to install preamped sub enclosure (I don't want to mount an amp, etc.) I have heard bad things about Bazooka's preamped sub but has anyone tried audiobahns?

AUDIOBAHN

Model ATB12AT

AMPLIFIED CYLINDER

# MOSFET Amplifier
# Remote Bass Control Knob
# RCA & Speaker Level Inputs
# Adjustable Low Pass Filter: 40Hz - 250Hz
# Adjustable Bass Boost: 0-18dB
# Includes Complete Installation Kit
# High Quality Construction
# Rear Facing Tuned Port
# Black Suppleather Covering
# Chrome Plated Flame Grille
# Bumped Back Plate
# Extended & Vented Pole Piece
# Gold Binding Post Terminals
# Size: 12"
# Power Output: 120 Watts RMS

These things go for about $150. It would fit great in my ski locker and observer seat compartment. I just installed an XMD3 and am not building the baddest system ever, or even close. I just have 4 MB Quarts 6.5's.

Have you looked at the Infinity Basslink? It's another self-powered subwoofer that is popular because of it's size and price. I was happy with the bass it produced.

Sorry Ryan but you need lots of power in a boat and when you put it in a observer seat compartment it will make things worse (not as loud). Good luck hearing it just chillin with the motor off. You could always do what the car guys do and just mount an amp to a speaker box??

Not to hijack your thread, but did you end up selling your boat or did you decide to keep it?

I still have the MB Sports 190 Plus for sale for $20K. If it ever sells I am then either buying a Sanger 210, SAN 210, or maybe even your MB if it's still around. Trouble is that no one wants a Slalom boat. If I can't sell it I will take a huge hit at Sanger and trade for a loss.
