Forecast shows rain through Saturday and 50's and close to 60's next week..

Who is going to be taking a set in late March?

As for the reservations, I think that you can call in a reservation for like a group to come in and I think that on certain days, they shorten the day so that you get It with all the others that reserved... so that it's not as fullish i guess, send em an E-mail or somethin

3/27 will be on the river yes. The Mississippi is opening up nice but the Minnesota has some large chunks still. We'll play the locks right on the Mississippi and make it work. Today is sunny and 60 - we'll have ****ing LAKES open in a couple weeks at this rate. I love it!

Seth - great to see you guys last night. That was a great time. Wish we could have stayed out later but with Stef having to get up at 7 am and the time change - 1 was at late as we could rock. We'll close it down next time.

This weather is glorious. Hopefully Tonka Bay Marina is going to be paying for our first two tanks this year!

Just got back from snowboarding in Utah, couldn't have been any better. Warm and sunny along with fresh pow! I also said "I hope all the snow is gone when we get back to MN" ...Ask and you shall receive!

Nick...I think I was at The House the same time you were there that Friday evening! My buddy picked up some skateboard supplies.

Jeff- Good time last night. I thought Stef had to be up at 9. Yeah, 7 would be early with the change. I'll hold you to shutting it down next time. Oak City is nice spot! We'll have to get you down to Babe's here in L'ville. Now that's a spot....

I don't think there will be a lake anywhere close to the cities for at least 2-3 weeks, mine is still not even close, but there is a definitive spot between the ice and the shore where there is water
Old     (jeff_mn)      Join Date: Jul 2009       03-17-2010, 6:13 AM Reply
3 weeks? It's going to be 60 and sunny the next two days and rain/snow mix on Friday..

If anything CLOSE to this weather continues into next week - we'll have open lakes next weekend brother. Once it starts to go - it goes fast.

I dont think that we will see an open lake for at least 2 weeks, a least not a lake big enough to drop a wake boat in. Sorry to burst everyones bubble but I cant remember the last time ice was out mid march if ever. I have a few buddies that are total ice fishing dorks and one of them was out yesterday on WBL and he told me there is still 3 feet of ice out there.

The River is a different story, Jay if you go ride let me know I am in 100%, I must say tho after looking over those pics there is no way I would drop my boat in yet.

TAYLOR I got Dougy Fresh's info if you want if I know he has a few winches. (is that even a word> winches?) I have one about 80% complete still need a spool and a clutch.

I was initially thinking ice-out would be pretty late. Now I'm predicting that the ice will be off my lake by 3/27...and most likely it will be sooner than that. We'll see how close my prediction is!

Riley still has a few inches of ice on it. I am betting April1- it's supposed to get cold again early next week.

What did i say my count down was 54 days ago? I "might" be pretty darn close to my 63 day prediction. T-minus 9 days....

I actually just want to get out by the last day of March, but it'd be cool to hit my mark.

We have this big flame-thrower torch that we might take out 20-30 feet and use to just start weakening the ice eg. around the dock and stuff, start getting that ice out a little faster.

Garvey said that Marion is cracked all the way through and the old man Bob said there is standing water around the perimeter.

Supposed to be colder next week than this week - but still low 40's early in the week and high 40's and low 50's later in the week.

Smith is the only one with a boat ready. Mine and Seths still in storage - maybe Burton's is ready to rock? I dunno. Does Will keep his at home in the winter?

I'll be ready to get out for a set here pretty soon.

We can rent one from Autozone Jason. I'm sure most people will just tell you to use a 2 x 4

Have a good trip Bro.

Good to see everyone last night. New boat looks great Tom - can't wait to get out and break it in!

yeah - use a 2x4 - just need to make sure you get it on the shaft of the prop and not the blades
Old     (snowslider76)      Join Date: Mar 2002       03-19-2010, 6:49 AM Reply
Ya those autozone things aren't actual prop pullers they are something else.

I know I can use a 2x4,
I can throw a shoe at the TV to change the channel.
I can start a fire with two sticks.
I prefer to use a remote, matches, prop puller

I've got $20 if you throw a shoe at your TV and it turns the channel. I need to be there. Next Saturday we'll try it. Right after we take the prop off with a 2 x 4.

Are you needing the puller for the whole weekend, or just for a few minutes? I have one, but I don't like going boarding without having it in my car (fingers crossed that we'll be riding).
Old     (snowslider76)      Join Date: Mar 2002       03-19-2010, 11:15 AM Reply
Just a few minutes, just need to pop it off and put the new one on, I could do it Friday. Keeping the flangies x'd that the lakes are open by next weekend, otherwise the puller really isn't that critical.
Old     (tuneman)      Join Date: Mar 2002       03-19-2010, 11:15 AM Reply
Just make certain you have the proper hammer, in case the prop sticks a bit.

Hey Minnesota peeps, as some of you know, I run KneeboardWorld.com and WakeSkiWorld.com. Well, with baby on the way, I'm quickly revamping my sites now before I won't have time. So this week, I'm redoing WakeSkiWorld and will be adding my latest site WakesurfPlanet.com soon. Andy requested that I start a wakesurfing site. What do you think of the logo? The goal is to tie everything to my store at WakeSkiShop. Maybe I have too many sites....

Between Mr. Williams and I, I think we have a complete universe.
