That sucks, but I have for sure seen worse. Friend came up short on a a krypt and had to spend the night at the hospital with a sever concusion.

That was pretty funny. It probably wasn't too bad. It was more of a slip out than catching an edge. That was a pretty try. I bet he's landing them now.

i guess it was the loud smack that made it look worse.

i landed my worst faceplant ever this past weekend and according to my friends, they could hear the smack over my NVS's. i am not sure what is worse.....catching the front edge and getting SLAMMED into the water face first? or just landing from 10 ft in the air flat on your face?

The video won't load for me at work, but on the weekend during our local tourney I wittnessed the worst face plant I've ever done so. A junior boys rider, cased a hs 360 and yes you heard the smack.

Then proceeded to see that he was face down 3-4 inches under the surface not moving. By the time some people had hopped in and we're 3/4 of the way there he regained consciousness, but by his hand and head movements he was still non responsive. Boat crew said he was severly concussed.

That specific fall is usually not that bad. The bad plants come from a whip caused by catching a board edge. That looked uglier than it felt.

The worst fall I've ever seen was the pro tour stop in Orlando at OWC were one of the pro riders does a hugh S-Bend and lands on the side of the flat bar slider and stops completly, he was pretty busted up, the noise it made would causes me goose bumps every time I think of it, it was real ugly. I wish I had a video, someone out there should. I think it happen in 04 but I'm not sure but I think it was worlds during the first round.

Watched a ski jumper hit the cow catcher (side of the ramp) on a full double cut. Took his leg off just below the knee. That was a bad crash in anybody's language. Why he didn't refuse the jump, I'll never know.
