The only board I know that has a translucent bottome is the Tubulite, which has no floatation, extremely hard edges!! What other board out there has a translucent bottom???

My guess is he's talking about the slider bottom! That was new to the Premier last year. It's a transulcent type laminate that is to suppose to help prevent scuffing and maring on the bottom of the boards.

I think you're talking about the fact that you can actually see the wood through the bottom of that board. I believe it's the same as a regular bottom, so you should have no problems with it.
