i just got the new cwb lotus 131.and i have only been riding since last summer. what good tips can you give me on jumping the wake?

cut out and build the progressive edge when you cut in, bend your knees and at the top of the wake straighten them out and bring the handle to your leading hip. do you like that board?

for a lil over a year. i'm looking at that board, i don't like the bindings that it comes w/ if you buy the set up but i like the board.

there not that bad it is just hard geting them broke in
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 12:49 PM Reply
yeah. another tip, keep your arms bent while cutting into the wake and while in the air. when you go to land, keep your knees slightly bent so your body doesn't take the impact harsh.

how fast do you have to be going? does it work as well geting pulled behind a 4 stroke jetski?
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 12:54 PM Reply
well, behind a jetski you should make sure to bend you knees a little more when you're cutting into the wake just to get a little more pop. you just have to be going the regular speed, it's all about your knees and the tension in the line.

how long did it take you to jump? Are you going to get the board? What does bending your knees out help you do?
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 12:59 PM Reply
it took me a few days after i got up for the first time, i'm good at snowboarding so it came kinda easy. i think i might get it, i hope so at least. bending your knees helps you get more pop when you hit the top of the wake as long as you straighten your legs at the top.

i am 15 but o well is it hard to snowboard?i am thinking about trying it cause alot of my friends do it what kind of wakeboard do you have now
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 1:29 PM Reply
it's not hard at all....especially if you already wakeboard. snow is a little less forgiving than water but it's still fun.
Old     (amber_nicole)      Join Date: Jul 2007       07-09-2007, 1:33 PM Reply
i will give it a try do you think i should try jumping today or start with something a little more simple
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 1:34 PM Reply
oh, and the kinda of board i have is a cwb bella but it doesn't fit me and i got it from a friend who just got a some hyperlite board but i'm prolly gonna sell it to get either the lotus or the sapphire....i'm thinkin sapphire.
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 1:35 PM Reply
well, if you feel comfortable enough to start jumping then i would do that or you can just start practicing landing by doing everything like i told you but don't try to hard, just try to get a little air off the wake.
Old     (amber_nicole)      Join Date: Jul 2007       07-09-2007, 1:36 PM Reply
no get the lotus what size bella
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 1:37 PM Reply
bella is 124. if i get the sapphire it'll fit perfect and it will end up being one of the last boards i buy for a long time then i'll upgrade to a nice hyperlite. but for now i just need something to hold me over cuz i'm a senior this year and then i'll be going to college so i won't have a lot of time to board which is sad.

well cwb is a pro board and my friend has a hyperlite and i rode it and it doesn't ride any where near as smooth as the lotus
Old     (doover_wake)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-09-2007, 1:43 PM Reply
hmmm...well, i learned on a hyperlite n i loved it but i'm gonna try out the cwb. the lotus is for more novice riders and the sapphire is for intermediate/advanced riders which is where i'm at.

i have a liquid force and it is great. going back to ur original question i had a hard time jumping w2w. i found straightening my legs and just loosening up and having fun helped me. when i got tense and concentrated to much i did worse. iv been wakeboardin or about three years and just starting to do tricks but i havent been going as often. so just be paitient and dont get angry. i like to blame it on the driver and it doesnt help. im 18 to and snowboard. if you start you should get a burton i used to suck at turning and i got the 07 blunt its a guys board but i love it
