I'm 6'5" tall and weigh 220 lbs and am new to this. Which board and board size will help me learn best?

Maybe a cwb faction 144 or
Hyperlite era 147

You will need to stay above 142 for sure. I weigh 210 and ride a Hyperlite 3ds 143 and its just perfect.

you could get away with a wide 142 but I'd look more at the 144 and above boards.

I'm 210lbs (sometimes 220 when I really bulk up) and I ride an Ibex 144 and it fits me great. It has a hefty amount of surface area and thats really what you're looking for at your size. A long board doesn't necessarily have lots of surface area.
