We just got a 2000 super air are looking for advice on the best way to weight it. Right now it only has 2 40 gallon tanks in the back. If any one has suggestions on weight and placement for the max wake it would be much appreciated.

Our Supersport (same hull) we use

450lb v-drive sacks on the sides of the engine *2 total in the back* = 900 lbs.
(a little more than you're running now)

Bow sac (triangle one from flyhigh) under the playpen seating....totally hidden but only fills to about 600/700 lbs...not the full 1000lbs

If we're out with 3/4+ people in the boat with someone riding thats all we use... if we have 1/2/3 people in the boat we have a Flyhigh Fat Seat Bottom in the ski locker we can fill -- full it is about 700 lbs, but we usually dont fill 100%....

So fully loaded =
900 lbs rear
500 lbs middle
600 lbs front
=2000 lbs -- the wake is awesome, and with a lot of bow/mid weight it takes away some of the vert but still kicks great

everything we use is Flyhigh ProXseries, its bullet proof stuff

This was taken with bow (600 lbs) rear (900)
2 people in the boat and about (300 in ski locker)

And if you're going to add weight get a new prop.

Acme 856 is working wonders for us.

I have a super sport as well and I weight mine...

- 900 lbs. under rear sun deck
- 100 lbs. lead in middle of boat under passenger seats
- 700 lbs. custom sac in ski locker
- 200 lbs. of lead in nose of boat under the playpen seating
- That's 1900 lbs. plus people

Once you get over 1500 lbs. in there, the wake gets sweet. Once you start pushing close to 2000 lbs., it gets scary. Just make sure you have the weight fairly even from front to back in your super air. Too much weight in the back will make the wake super steep and not very firm at the top. If you keep it even, the wake will still be steep, but will keep it's shape alot better.

put 250 side sac on both sides of motor
fly high 700-750 custom fit to locker.
250 side sac in nose
with stock weight you get around 1900-2000lbs
we ran mine like that for 5 years it was sick. if you are loaded up don;t slow down too quick water will come over the back. keep the nose up when you go back to get your rider
