Is this a riddle?

There never is too much unless your boat is sinking or not planing out and there really isn't too little. SOB learned on a tiny wake, hence how massive he goes on a decent wake.

If not,

Too much ballast = boat won't plane out/sinks to the bottom.

Not enough ballast = "I want the wake to be bigger"/"I need more weight (front/rear;left/right) to shape the wake a little better."

1000lb is fine, is that in one sac, or do you have two 500lb sacs? What Gekko are you loading it into?

The weight you put in the boat should increase as your skills do, the same applies to rope length and riding speed.

well yes there are limits it really depends on the size of the boat(where you can hide and place sacks and still have room for passengers and gear),the size of the boat motor/tranny(does it have the power to pull the weight up and not hurt the drive train),the prop size, the age of boat as well can matter as the older wood florroing may buckle with too much weight,do you have thr extra cash to pay the gas bill from heavy weighting, and the important factor is how big a wake can your skills handle..

once you figure out all that you will know how much weight to put in your boat..

The trick is to be a vague as possible in the questions you ask, that always works - especially when you do it for every thread that you have started in each of the sections of wakeworld...

My favorite thread that you started was this one:
"Gekko Revo 6.7 good or bad explain plaese thanks"

Uh, Scot.....no way man, I would never imply such a thing! That would be tasteless (oops)...........let's just stay focused here please.

Bill, dont forget the driver. The LAST thing you want to do when heavily weighted is stick someone without experience in the driver's seat. Thats a first class ticket to the bottom.

ok, so ur saying you have a lot of weight and u have room for more. Ok, well if you want a bigger wake, then add more weight, try the weight you have in different places. It doesn't hurt to try, don't like the results, take it out.

Too much, not to much. There is a difference...

there is no such thing as too much unless the boat does not get one plane. the biggest/best wake ive ever ridden the boat took almost a half amile to get one plane. people in the back had to run to the front of the boat to get up on plane and then go to the back of the boat once we were up and running.

Each time I hear a question about more weight, non cga vests, longer line lengths, and faster speeds I just want to shoot back with "if you have to ask, NO, you dont need it".

I can remember the first time I rode a pro level wake, it was at the DU experience in disco. Man that was a GOOD day, haha.

fill it up until the water starts coming over the side into the boat, then take out 50 lbs. that should do it.
