Open your movie in Windows Movie Maker (WMM). If your "movie tasks" side bar is not shown then do the following to expose it.
Toolbar > View > Task Pane

Under Item #3 "Finish Movie"
Select "Save to my computer"
Enter in the relevant info and then click "NEXT"
Check "Show more Choices"
Click on "Other Settings"
From the dropdown select "DV-AVI (NTSC)
Click "NEXT"

That will output your WMM video as an .avi file which can then be imported into Sonic DVD.

I have never used sonic before... will it encode the .avi into an mpeg for you?

I hope that helps?

Where are all you original video files? Are they still on your hard drive? It sounds like some of the clips you have on your timeline have been deleted or are missing?
