Yo!

Doing some Googling but wanted to get some real-world input. My good college friend has a bachelor party in Denver this June, and we are looking for ideas (non wake). I am not the central coordinator but trying to help out. Most of the crowd are late 20's/early 30's, young working professionals, active, etc. Of course there will be plenty of drinking going on. Everyone arrives ~7pm Friday June 28th and leaves Sunday afternoon June 30.

If anyone has thoughts on an area for a house to rent that can accommodate 12 and is near the city or otherwise nicely accessible, that would be great, too! The central coordinator said he was having trouble finding a place, so we might just get hotel rooms downtown.

Friday we will probably just head out to a local eatery/bar. For Saturday day, we are thinking something outdoors like a hike, shooting range, Rockies game (apparently they host the World Champion SF Giants that weekend, which I don't care about but hey...). Early Sat afternoon hit up a brewery or whiskey tour (any recommendations?), then a nice dinner (recommendations?), and continue the party from there down town somewhere.

Red Rocks Park looks cool

Larimer Square could be cool for night life - anybody been?

Thanks!

Depending how much traveling you're willing to do, some of my favorite things to do up there are.

Brewery Tours: Fort Collins, about an hour north of Denver has a bunch of great breweries real close together. New Belgium, Fort Collins Brewery, Odell Brewery, and more.

Up in the mountains a bit is Black Hawk / Central City, Colorado's mini Vegas, a bunch of casinos all together can be a great time. The suites in Ameristar are pretty awesome. Coors brewery is on the way too.

Rockies games are a chill time, if your group is into baseball and the weather is nice.

For dinner in downtown, I would eat on 16th Street Mall a bunch of restaurants and bars nearby. My favorite that has a good balance on price & atmosphere is Earl's.

Red Rocks is awesome for concerts if anyone is playing while you're there. During the day you can walk all around the park and see dinosaur foot prints, fossils, etc.

And finally Rocky Mountain National Park has some great views, You can drive through it and hike from there as well, but a decent drive out of town.

Good luck and have fun

Thanks for the input and ideas, I'll check into some of the leads. We've all done Vegas so many times, which is why we everyone thought to look elsewhere. I've never been to Denver, so I am always down for a new place!

Im with J-rod. And I live in CO.
I'm not a fan of the downtown bar scene myself. WAY too many douchebags.

Guys, at this point, you are not supposed to try to talk us OUT of going to where has already been decided haha!! :P Just givin' you a hard time. I was just in Vegas this past weekend for Supercross, and came home $500 on craps, so I'm good for a while! There are douches anywhere you go, Vegas definitely included in that one!!

Really no matter where we are, we're gonna have a great time, even if we just play King's Cup and drink large quantities of beer, reminiscing about old times!!!

We are mostly in the 29-32 age range. I have gotten some info from friends of friends, some who live there. Here was some info:

"There's Red Door, a vodka bar, Suite 200 a club, Maloney's which is identical to the Maloney's we used to go to in LA. That whole area is called LoDo and you can go from bar to bar. Sam's #3 is good for hangover breakfast. There are burritos sold by street vendors and we call them "streetos". I love to start my night at the Rio for dinner and margaritas made with everclear, Sports Column has a cool rooftop patio... Ahhhh Denver. When will you be there? I don't want to crash your party but maybe I can happen to be at the same bar with my Denver buddies. "

"- best spots for evening drinking are Larimer Square and LoDo neighborhoods -- Ocean Prime Steakhouse, Green Russel for hand-crafted drinks
- Breckenridge Brewery is a solid micro brew spot
- highly recommends the possible combination of morning rafting + afternoon Coors tour
- and if we're interested -- "Shotgun Willies has the best girls. The ones at the Diamond Cabaret sometimes have attitudes and might be tip-stingy, so be wary."
