Wow!! I always seem to be more impressed by Sean's moves than some of the other more technical stuff done by the "big names." Maybe it's because I can't wrap my mind around some of the more complicated moves because I'm not much of a rider myself. However, I'm just blown away looking at stuff like this. Nice job Sean!!

nice, i love it when riders find ways to hold grabs longer. Did he have a TS5 that he spun the same way for awhile now?

I'm just sayin! A rider like that deserves a clean wake!

Definitely not the same video, but you can see how he went from HS Osmosis 7 to a TS Eternal Nose Grabbed Osmosis 7.

Sean has been shredding under the radar for a lot of years. Thank God for guys like him, quiet rippers that push the envelope.

Sean grew up riding a really small wake and from what I understand, is one of the biggest assets that aided his riding beyond pure talent.
Old     (romes)      Join Date: Sep 2006       08-26-2009, 11:05 AM Reply
he deserves what he wants...and if he wants to shred a "lesser wake" in your opinion then shred on...

I believe that was behind the boat at this camp. Its a Centurion Typhoon c4 with only stock ballast. I rode behind his boat the other day with the ballast empty and was boostin better than i ever have. even better than the malibu LSV with 3500lbs. it doesnt suck as much as you think.

I'm really glad that you guys like the video. You have no idea how happy I was to actually land that the way that I wanted to (aside from the somewhat sketchy landing). I actually went out yesterday and landed another one that was perfect but we didn't have the camera in the boat. Oh well. I've got some more ideas for new tricks so hopefully we can get more footage to keep you entertained.

Here is the link to the video on Vimeo for those that can't use youtube at work.

Anyways, I really hope that all of the clips from "Move of the Year" make it online for you guys to see them. I was so excited to watch watch what all of the wakeboarders and wakeskaters pulled out. Everybody on here has probably seen:

Rathy's Wrapped HS BS 1080
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0g7BdUT_7U

Danny's Wrapped HS grabbed BS 900
http://wakeboardingmag.com/news/2009/08/25/video-defy-teaser-a-danny-harf-documentary-by-sean-kilgus/

Steel's W2W TS 1080
http://www.thewakeplace.com/?p=662

Tom Fooshee's Pete 7 off the kicker
http://cablewakeboard.com/video/details/tom-fooshee-lands-a-pete7-at-tsr/

If you haven't seen those videos, then take a break from reading this and go look at the incredible ability of these riders. It is unbelievable how these guys are pushing the sport. However, there are tons of submissions for "Move of the Year" that haven't even been brought up online. All of the stunts from Out of the Pond, Murray's TS raley to blind, Bob Soven's HS 360 to BS 180, Brad Smeele's step-up gap, and Vinny's 540 down a massive gap (I'm sure there is more and I'm sorry if I left you out) are moves that are all incredibly progressive within our sport. Even now that the awards are over, it is great to hear that riders are going out and still pushing it. Congrats to Harley for his switch KGB5 and to Phil for his Moby Dick 7.
http://chadsharpe.blogspot.com/

My hat is off to all of the riders that keep going out and beating themselves up in order to push this sport. I hope that everyone on here is as excited and motivated as I am as a result of what these guys are doing. Keep it up.

Sean O'Brien

Stephen- I just checked our Youtube account and I can't find it either. I do have the video on the camp's website though. Here is the link to it.

Mike- Thanks. I really appreciate that.

Charles- Turtle Macnamara did land the 90210 years ago, but it is actually a TS raley to FS 3. That trick is crazy.

Now that trick was more fun to watch than any 10. Impressive

Why is that trick so fun to watch? It just seems more understandable than some of the other top tricks. I actually brought my kids it to check it out cuz I thought they could appreciate it, whereas I've never done that with a 10 or 12 or anything like that.
