I was on the Wetsounds website looking at some speakers. I went to the Gallery and then to Customer Installations, and then came across a lime green X-Star with four Pro-80's. I noticed that it had a fixed aftermarket bimini mounted to the tower, not the regular, fold-down style. Any info on this type of bimini would be greatly appreciated!

Best Tower Mounted Biminis on the market are from towerbiminis.com. They take a while but they do have the Xstar template.

Ryan

That is my boat your saw. The bimini is Z5 cargo rack. Your local dealer should be able to order it.

FYI the speakers are the Pro 60's. Using the stock mounts for the bimini and the std MC speaker mounts, the Pro 80's will not fit. Upload

Sorry I dont have a better picture.

I don't have any first hand info, but if you Google "Z5 cargo rack" there are a million hits, with a few people saying that the racks are no longer available.

The last contact info for them was:

WOW guys, thanks for all the info. I'll check them out for sure.

Mike, I sold the X2, but I'm trying to get an '08 X-Star. I haven't ordered it yet, so I doubt it would be ready for Havasu by Spring Break. But if it all works out, we'll be down there for Memorial Day for sure. Are yall headed down this year?

Must be one sturdy bimini to tow down the road at highway speeds...

Ya know... NuBu I was gonna say in my previous post that it was so sturdy Malibu should use the same method to secure their Wedge or gelcoat.

But... I took the high road.

It throws them around like the gelcoat guy at Bu throws the mop around he uses to apply gelcoat.

If malibu's giving away new boats I'm gonna look to see if I have any gelcoat issues..

I tow my boat with the wedge down, the downforce the wind creats over the wedge really helps keep the boat on the trailer so I don't have to use those stupid transom straps
