Smith Carbonics. A bit spendy, but well worth it. I also wear their slider series.

I wear Coyote glasses. Real glass so it doesn't scratch the first time you go out. Around $60.00 - $120.00 I hate plastic glasses. They don't last a week.

Dragon's....with a lifetime warranty you can't go wrong. I have had a pair of Dragon's for about 3 years and have sent them back several times, always having a new pair returned back to me except the lenses which is standard with any sunglass company.

I'll second the fact that if you are gonna spend the money make sure they are polarized. My Anarchy's have held up pretty well.

Maui Jim’s!!!!!!!!!! They will change out any scratched lens for $30.00 as long as you own them. Also one of the best at stopping the glare, off the water.

I looked at spy's due to everyone's advice but has anyone used them for snowboarding, mountain biking, running or anything like that where there is a bunch of wind. How well does it block the wind from your eyes? I am wondering about that because i am really into all those sports also.

Sorry Andrew but i have to say it, i love my oakleys, you do have to protect them like they are an investment. You wouldnt see someone who has to wear corrective glasses loosing them all the time, i dont but i work for my money so when i spend over $100...well over $100 i would like to think i treat my glasses as well as anything i spend that much money on.

I tried plastic lens sunglasses, mostly Oakleys, for a while, but had to go back to glass lenses. I prefer Serengeti's lens to look through, but I wish they'd put a glass lens in a plastic wrap around frame. Right now I'm wearing their newest metal frame (with spring hinges) and their polarized lens....and they're okay.....but they let a little too much light and wind in around the sides.

I've got a pair of Oakley Full Metal Jacket Minutes. Love em! Great lake shades! Last year I broke one of the ear pieces and sent it back to Oakley, $5 in shipping and 2 weeks later they sent me a new pair, old lenses though...

It all depend on what your doing. Smith "Bookies" and or Black Flys "High Fly's" in Gold" for Pimpin. Gucci or Versace for Hanging at the Pool Hard rock (Vegas) or South Beach (Miami) SPY "MS Scoop" for Mountain Bike and anything super active. Thick framed Glasses for Mafia related activity Like Black Fly's #5's.} Oakleys for Tractor Pulls and Mullet watching

I have Oakleys, Smith, Black FLys, and Arnettes. The Arnettes get the most face time, the Oakleys the least. The Arnettes are the lightest, and super comfy. I'd look into them. Stu

Andrew, I have had the smith toasters, they didn't block wind doing anything but walking. I now own Spy Micro's they rule!. Good coverage for muddy trails, good on the motorcycle and you can get the extra lenses for cheap. I did go through 2 sets of the rust color though. The paint orange pealed something fierce. Anyone have the same problem? Spy replaced them no questions asked. I switched to the black/clear and love them.

Grant- I just took them back to the shop where I bought them, I listened to the convo between Spy's sales rep and the shop and they seemed to know there was problem. It also seems like Spy's sales dept. is very minimally staffed. It took like 10 min. on hold to get to talk to anyone. You might try to contact them directly if they have a number on the web.

SPYs and black flys are great, not too expensive. A while back I had issues with some black flys..and they took care of me. I picked up some Nike glasses with interchangeable lenses at costco. They came w/ black polarized lenses and amber non-polarized, I think I paid ~40 bucks at the costco in Burbank,CA. One drawback to them..when folded up, the lenses like to pop out.

I really like the Bolle product line. Plus if you rent cars from Budget you get points to get Bolle products free! (I have 5 pair) Nothing beats a good quality polarized glass lens.

Don't play with little kid's sunnies. Maui Jims Polorized. The only way to go. All the other major surf brands cost a peanut to make and are made by starving sweat shop kids over seas. Although Quicksilver is coming out with there own copy of Maui Jims Polarized - they might be sweet. Per Sols are great also.

I had a pair of Dragon Boxes, which I liked, but I have to admit I bought rather hastily without shopping around. Unfortunately, those sank to teh bottom of the lake. My newest pair are Arnette Stances. I like them way better than the Dragons. If I lose this pair, I might have to go back to WalMart glasses like Barry said.

I just wanted to say this even though I know you don't want oakleys. I always wondered why anyone would ever need sunglasses that could stop a shotgun blast from 15yds away. well I found out when my dad and bro were in a car accident. you should've seen the glasses. They were COVERED in dents and scratches from broken glass/the airbags. I can't imagine what would've happened if they were wearing any other glasses... Wrote a letter to Oakley and they sent 2 new pairs the next day. They've got my business for life. Never tried anything else, so I wouldn't know about them.

After seeing the fish of my local lake wearing $120 pairs of oakley's, I decided on the cheapest possible pair of glasses possible. 4.50 at walmart. If you loose them...who cares! I'll let me speedo do the talking not my glasses. Ray Bann polorized are my normal driving.
