Crappy. I wonder if they are having the same problems at their east coast factory? Would it be possible that they would do more of the production out of the Tennessee plant because the overhead is less?

it kind of sounded like that from the article. way sad indeed. hopefully some warmer weather soon will help out with boat sales and they won't have to let as many people go.

How are the product lines split between the two factories?

I think a lot of Americans are not seeing the full effects of this recession on so many industries. Leisure time equipment and services are just killed. The domino effect is significant. I sell to manufacturers in a segment that is only suffering moderately. Running scared just aint fun. We need some good news.....

Good News: Stock market up 20% in March. A leading indicator, hopefully this means we're on the bottom and looking up soon.

Well everyone had an attitude of keep dreaming we would just keep going deeper and deeper.

Its sad for Malibu, and hopefully they will bounce back after all this over. But if people keep saying its going to get worse it will. Those people might as well stick their head in a hole and hide because they will not help things get better.

A HUGE Blame of the collapse rests on Clinton my friends. Getting low income families and minorities in homes no matter what it took. It was the American dream. This massive collapse makes the money spent on Iraq look like a drop in the bucket.
