My oldest son is about the same age and weight as your son, and he rides the Liquid Force Nemesis 119. You can find these boards in a package deal for under $200 in most shops and online.

Isaac, What speed did you pull her at and how long was the rope? How fast did you take off?

Two of these tiny shredders have started on a basic little set-up from Hydroslide....(my daughters holding it) I believe it's a Renegade 119, and we paid $149 for the package...

This was my oldest last summer (8 at the time) on that same board.

CL, it doesnt take much to pull them up.. just really little and they come right up.. I think we were doing about 10-11 mph.. my dad was driving my boat and I was on the back deck watching and encouraging and ready to jump in if I had to..

I would go with the liquid force nemisis 118 with some kids element bindings, its a sick set up, not that hard on the wallet, and its from one of the top, most well respected companies in the industry.

ill link you to it in a second

and the bindings

I love liquid force and when working at my sponsers shop i always recommend this board and binding combo to parents with kids that want to progress and have fun.

If this doesnt tickle your fancy, CWB does go the extra mile when it comes to their kids line of boards and bindings, and they cost roughly the same as the LF line.

You can send me a message if you need help with anything else.

check out the LF line. The nemesis & Star are the same board with different graphics. Taylor first had a Hydroslide for just a few months and then went to LF Mighty elements. They were night and day difference. Taylor rides the 124 but the 118 is a great starting point for beginners. PM me if you have any other ?s

I agree with Calebs recommendation. The Nemesis is a great board and the 118 and Element bindings package would be perfect for your little man to start out and progress on. Heres a couple pics of my boys Nemesis 124.

Package with Element bindings.

a few years ago I went with a hyperlite premier 124. I think he was 6 or 7 years old. It was a lot of board when he started, but it has allowed him to progress. This pic was last summer (9 y.o)....now working on holding on to the handle.

Another setup to look at is the CWB Charger 119cm with the CWB Seven hinge bindings.
You can get this setup for 289 and the hinge bindings make it east for the kids to get in and out of the bindings.

Good Lord! I hate to know what I'm going to need in a few years. My son is 3 1/2 years old and 45 pounds and 45 inches tall! I'm going to need an eight foot piece of plywood!

Ron, take him to a cove where theres no one.. and pull him with your hands.. and just have him get the motion of being pulled.. he will get it right away.. and then just say you totally got it and encourage him.. and say.. its way easy and you can do it behind the boat... once they realize how easy it is, they will want to do it over and over.. thats how my 7 year old daughter was

of the links that were posted above, they are $200 for the bindings and $200 for the board. Where are these $150-$200 package deals?
