What would you say the difference is if any between wakeskating length and speed vs. wakeboarding?

I have a friend who I ride with and is a great wakeskater. I ride at 75' @23mph and he rides at 65' @20.5. The slower speed makes for softer crashes and since he is not doing huge w2w air slower suits him. Although he does do w2w tricks. It's sick. Wakeskating deserves more respect.
