Hey guys,

I am considering Crossover 216v vs Super Air 210 at the moment with the Coastal Edition but without the LINC system...

I will use this boat to replace my current Moomba LSV

Main purpose is for me a wakeboarder only, my cousin ski/wakeboard, uncles in the family who ski only, and tube from time to time...

I really like both of these boats, and I would like to know how different are these two wake in terms of wakeboarder point of view? Am I giving up a lot of nice huge wakeboarding wake for so so ski wake?

do not buy the 216 just cause you may ski every now and then. I had a 07 211 and thought i would ski a lot. The 211/216 are small uninviting boats for cruising compared to the 210. you can also pick up a 210 for less cost than a 216 and will have better resale. I just bought a new 210, and would never had bought the crossover if i had known that i might only occasionally ski.

We threw a rope at 15' off behind the new 210 and honestly have a hard time telling a difference in the ski wake at 30 mph. The wakeboarding/surfing wake behind the 210 is awesome and i could not have asked for more. Check mine out on my profile pic.

P.S. If you want some tower speakers for your new rig without buying from the dealer i am selling my new ones from my boat. They will bolt right up to either boat you choose.

Thats an interesting statement. I looked at at 216V but never considered what I may find behind a 210 at 15' to 20' off.

The 216v is a new boat for 09, he is not talking about the 216dd.
The 216v is a great boat, has a lot of room, rated for 12 people.
The 216v has a great surf wake as well as a great wakeboard wake and the skiing capability is really good for a v-drive.
If you want the boat for wake only, then go with the 210, but if you are looking for a great crossover boat, that can do it all really good, then go with the 216v.
If you want to ski behind a 210, then you will have to ski from the tower.

I suppose my comments were misunderstood. I tried to explain that i too had bought a boat for its crossover capabilities and was letdown. I bashed no boat; i am simply saying that if you are only going to use a boat for crossover capabilities every now and then do not buy it. Buy the boat for what you want. I do not doubt the new 216 is a good boat, but it is not going to do some things great. I debated myself over the 216 and the 210 and am happy with my decision.

Tim,
when i say i skied behind my 210 at 15 off, i am comparing to the Nautique 211. Unless you are going to ski the course the 210 puts out a decent ski wake at around 30mph.

I just looked in the showroom and want a water test. Sure was a nice looking boat. I like to mix it up so we'll see what I find.

Looks like it may give a decent ride across big water as the stern has a bit of deadrise compared to my Sunsetter.

Gary,

I understood and your point is a good one. I'll try before I buy but you should not discount any boat. You never know what you'll find at 34mph and 20 off until you try.

A good buddy of mine just got the 216 a month ago and honestly Correct Craft could sell this as a strictly wakeboard boat. I would describe the wake as classic nautique style, steep, skinny and big. It is a lot like the 220 wake but much easier to keep clean. This boat has a lot of neat interior features the 210 doesn't have and handles chop well. Haven't tried skiing behind it so I cannot give an opinion on the ski wake.

The 210 is the best all around boat. With stock ballast it will ski then wakeboard then wakesurf all at the touch of a button. It only gets better with extra sacs hooked into the system.
I have 60 trouble free hours on mine its a great boat. Test drive both you cant make a mistake with either one.

No, not on the 210.
216v has a ski pylon.

hmmm no ski pylon is a problem....

Then where should skier and tubes attach to? Tower?

The 210 is built for Wakeboarding, not really for tubing and skiing.
I think for what you want, the 216v is a better choice.
The wakeboarding wake behind the 216v is really good with some added weight as well, it skis really nice, puts out a great surf wake and you can tube as well.

What? The 210 doesn't have a pop-up ski pylon option? Like my 230, it is on the very back of the boat on the step/seat on the transom. You can see it on a 2009 210 in this link - sixth picture from the last.

It may not be the traditional ski pylon and it might be an option but it is available and can get the job done for skiing and tubing.

Got to pull a tube every now and then. Its a nice platform to throw raley's over.

Or take pictures and video.

In addition, don't tell me that everyone on this site never takes out friends and family that like to tube every now and then. Nothing wrong with that, just do it responsibly out in more open waters such that you aren't trashing the nice wakeboarding waters.

What will a loaded 216v set you back?

Tim, yea gotta pull a tube now and then... especially when bunch of friends/family who dont wakeboard...

No worries I hate people destroying ski/wakeboard water myself, I cant stand people cant drive in a straight line cutting across everywhere... I only pull tubes out in the open water and when its less than ideal water situations... if its glass im wakeboarding!
