I'm now considering the acme 1235 prop for my 2000 bu lsv. The 1235 is 14.5x14.25 and the cost being $469. Can anyone give me insight on this prop and if the price is good.

I'm running the 1235 on my '01 205V. You can get it a lot cheaper than 469 at either propellersonline.com or boarditup.com. Great prop, boat pulls like a big block even sacked deep however you pay on the top end. Depends on if you have a long distance to motor before you ride and how much weight you run.

I run it on my '06 VLX, it made a world of difference. Faster hole shot, burn less RPMs at wake speeds. Lost 4 or so off the top end that I don't use anyway.

wakeside has it for $1239 plus shipping

What do you guys mean, "Repair issue"? Is there something wrong with the prop or will I have a repair issue with my boat?

Ryan, I think they're saying that Acme doesn't have any way to repair that prop yet if it gets dinged up.

That's not a big deal then. In the 5 years i have owned the boat, I have never hit the prop on anything! KNOCK ON WOOD!

The $469 is list price. My price is $425.

Acme props can be repaired - the shop does need to have the proper blocks to do it well. A really good shop can get it even tighter than factory. I use Holland Propeller in Holland, MI for my repairs.

If you have 1,500 lbs over factory, this is your prop. I don't think I have it on the website, yet, but send me an e-mail.

Will this prop fit my 2000 bu lsv? Acme didn't seem to know.

You are going up in diameter. You need at minimum 3/4" clearance and 1" is better. Getting the prop that close to the hull may "burn" the gel coat off due to trailing air bubbles (both ventilation and cavitation). Measure what you have and report back.
