We own a 2005 X-2. I read a post here where a member of this board (cdm) said he added 3 fittings to a MC ballast distribution block for the purpose of adding ballast pumps. I have been unsuccessful in contacting cdm to learn how he accomplished this.
Has anyone else done this? If so, how did you go about it?
I would like to add one fitting for one extra pump (for an integrated bow sack), but I do not want to do it without some help.
I have an '02 X-Star, which is the same boat?? Anyway, rather than tie into the block, I attached to the anti-freeze cap just after the connection through the hull. Instead of spending big-bucks on the water-puppy pump, I bought two of the cheapies, screwed one into the T valve, put the other on the Integrated Bow Sac, and put a T in the overflow already plumbed there.
Fills faster than the other pumps, and empties faster too.
