Cause I got one this summer after not riding for a few years. And after being on a few other boards I am not too sure if I like it.

I took the fins off mine and love it. its super stable on edge and loose but not too loose when your not. On the down side its super heavy

i definitly suggest taking ur fins off as well. It feels very good once you get use to it. You could also get some smaller fins if you need some stability...im not even sure why HL gave us those big fins to being with :/

The newer ones come with 1.1's, but the first batch came with thos 3" fins.

Ya I pulled the 1.1s off and rode it for a bit that way then put on .7's It is a nice ride on the water that way.

My issue is that I just spent my 2nd day out on a LF Team and I feel like I am gettin a lot more pop (height and distance)and a lot softer landings out in the flats.
Maybe that style board suits me better? I wish I knew how to tell.

I first rode with the board without fins and the board felt really lose. Then I put on 1.1s and felt more stable. Love the asymmetrical design that gives great toe-side edge.

I took a demo ride on the State. I loved it. It seemed a little faster than my 02 Premier (which is a good thing), and the pop felt the same.

I have a State and it rocks! It's the most forgiving board I've ever ridden. The toe side edge makes it easier to go in toe side to the wake.
