Music Downloads where do you go?

Probably not the right place to post but figure try anyways. So for Fathers day I got an IPOD. Where do you guys download music from and is there any good memberships that are out there with unlimited downloads? Or is it only the $1 downloads? Thanks

well mapster has the unlimited downloads for a fee and itunes has the dollar downloads. You could always use something like Limewire which is free but they say its illegal.

if i was you, to be on the safe side, try and find a site you can pay a monthly fee on to download an unlimited amount of music (if you have a fast connection) that way you get your dollars worth.

i actually read yahoo i think it was that had a 7 dollar a month fee for unlimited downloads or 52 dollars a year but im not sure. coulda been msn

Just make sure to read the "fine-print" I just realized that napster's subscription service has some strings attached... I'm sure the others do too.

kung fu's right. with napster, if you do the monthly service, you get unlimited downloads. you continue to do so, until you stop paying. once you stop paying, not only do you lose the ability to download, the mp3s you've downloaded stop working.

You can't use that napster program (monthly fee for unlimited downloads) for an iPod. Apple does not associate with Napster.

can upload an mp3 from a folder on your computer to your ipod??? then yes, you can download the mp3's and move them to a folder i would imagine then upload to ipod. apple is just a brand but has the same functions as any other mp3 last time i checked, just like firewire cable (apple proprietary), is the same thing as IEEE1394.

but who knows, maybe i dont know jack?
